LPV Uckermark-Schorfheide e.V.

Projects in funding phase0 / Successfully funded projects1

About Us:

The Landschaftspflegeverband (LPV) Uckermark-Schorfheide e.V. was founded in November 1992 as an umbrella organisation for cooperation between conservationists, farmers and local authority representatives in the protected area. The LPV has always seen itself as an instrument for realising the objectives of the biosphere reserve. The development of the model region into a sustainable, nature-compatible economic, living and natural area, with all its functional diversity, required the active participation of local people in this process and a constant balancing of interests. With the LPV's decision-making bodies consisting of equal numbers of representatives from nature conservation, agriculture and municipal interests, projects were developed jointly and implemented primarily with farmers. Establishing a financial foothold for farms through landscape conservation measures was and is an important concern for the LPV, although the framework conditions for this have become more difficult over the years. On the basis of specialised planning for nature conservation, the LPV has since its inception provided technical support for, coordinated and successfully completed a wide range of different measures in close cooperation with the biosphere reserve administration

Motivation to be part of AgoraNatura:

There are many nature conservation projects for which there are no funding opportunities in the state of Brandenburg. AGORA offers us the opportunity to realise these projects anyway.
